thinking about the whole “only queer ppl should play queer characters” thing and how Lee Pace got flack for playing a gay drag queen back in the day by his homophobic father. when he accepted the role he said “there was something about telling this story that was important to me” even before he was out / maybe even before he himself knew that he wasn’t straight….like maybe we should stop demanding that actors either out themselves or give up roles that speak to them, even if he hadn’t come out, the role meant something to him, it meant challenging his father’s attitude, and fuck if it didn’t have a profound impact on me as a young in-the-closet teen watching him perform it.
you guys know you can get USB connectable CD, dvd, and blu-ray players right. and you can buy external hard drives with crazy amounts of space for an amount of money that would make the average person from 2009’s head explode bc of how cheap it is. and if you do this and get ripping software such as handbrake for CDs and DVDs and makeMKV for blurays you can both own a physical copy of whatever media you want and make it accessible to yourself no matter where you are. do you guys know this

and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has said such nice things about the season, and I’m sorry to everyone who had emotions they weren’t expecting, and I’m impressed that so many of you have theories and don’t plan to answer, validate or really even comment on any of them, but mostly I’m just sorry because I probably won’t read whatever you’ve sent, not because I don’t want to but because if I was doing nothing but reading Tumblr asks as a full time job I still wouldn’t catch up with the thousands of asks coming in.
